Lesson – 79 : Excel Linkage, Custom Format અને Excel Protection
Microsoft Excel એક શક્તિશાળી ડેટા મેનેજમેન્ટ ટૂલ છે, જેમાં વિવિધ ફીચર્સ દ્વારા આપણે ડેટાને જોડવું (Linkage), તેને ખાસ રીતે દર્શાવવું (Custom Format) અને તેને સુરક્ષિત રાખવું (Protection) કરી શકીએ છીએ. આ તમામ ફીચર્સ ઓફિસ વર્ક, એકાઉન્ટિંગ, ડેટા એનાલિસિસ, સ્કૂલ/કોલેજ રેકોર્ડ કે બિઝનેસ શીટ્સ માટે ખૂબ ઉપયોગી છે.

1. Excel Linkage (લિંકેજ) – એક શીટને બીજી શીટ સાથે જોડવું
Excel Linkage નો અર્થ છે કે એક સેલનું મૂલ્ય બીજી શીટ અથવા વર્કબુકમાંથી લઈને આપોઆપ અપડેટ થતું રહે.
Linkage કેમ જરૂરી?

એક જ ડેટા બહુ જગ્યાએ લખવાની જરૂર નથી

Master sheet પરથી બધી માહિતી auto-update થાય છે

Errors અને time ઓછો થાય છે
Link બનાવવાની પદ્ધતિ
(A) Same Worksheet માં Link
ઉદાહરણ:
સેલ B1 માં સેલ A1 નું મૂલ્ય લેવું હોય →
(B) Other Sheet સાથે Link
ઉદાહરણ: Sheet2 માં Sheet1 ના A1 ને link કરવું:
(C) Other Workbook (બીજે Excel ફાઈલ) સાથે Link

2. Custom Format (કસ્ટમ ફોર્મેટ) – ડેટાને ખાસ રીતે દર્શાવવાની રીત
Custom Formatting દ્વારા Excel આપણે નંબર, તારીખ, ટેક્સ્ટ વગેરેને ખાસ સ્ટાઈલ માં દેખાડી શકીએ છીએ.
Custom Format માં મુખ્ય ચાર કોડ વપરાય છે:

2.1 Number Custom Format
Example Formats

0000 → હંમેશા 4 અંક દર્શાવશે

#,##0 → Thousands separator

Display: ₹ 500.00
2.2 Date Custom Format
Excel માં તારીખો માટે common custom formats:

2.3 Text Custom Format
Text સાથે symbols અથવા words ઉમેરવું:

Custom Format ડેટાને બદલતું નથી, માત્ર its appearance બદલાવે છે.
3. Excel Protection (પ્રોટેક્શન) – શીટને સુરક્ષિત બનાવવું
Excel Protection નો ઉપયોગ workbook અથવા worksheet ને અનધિકૃત ફેરફારોથી બચાવવા થાય છે.
Excel Protection ના ત્રણ મુખ્ય પ્રકાર છે:

Cell Lock / Unlock

Sheet Protection

Workbook Protection
3.1 Cell Lock / Unlock
By default Excel માં બધા cells Locked હોય છે.
Locked cells ત્યારે જ અસર કરે જ્યારે Sheet Protection Enable હોય.
Cell Unlock કરવાની રીત

જે સેલ્સ edit કરવાની મંજૂરી આપવી હોય તે પસંદ કરો

Right Click → Format Cells

Protection Tab → Uncheck “Locked”

3.2 Sheet Protection
Worksheet ને passwordથી સુરક્ષિત કરવું.
Steps

Review Tab → Protect Sheet

Password દાખલ કરો

Allow options (Select, Format, Insert, etc.) પસંદ કરો

3.3 Workbook Protection
Workbook ની Structure protect કરવા માટે:

Sheets ઉમેરવા/કાઢવા

Move/Copy અટકાવવું
