Lesson – 78 : MS Excel માં References ના પ્રકારો અને Cell Naming
MS Excel એક શક્તિશાળી Spreadsheet Software છે જે Data Management, Calculations, Analysis અને Reporting માટે વ્યાપક રૂપે ઉપયોગમાં લેવાય છે. Excel માં Formulas બનાવતી વખતે Cell References અને Cell Naming (Named Ranges) ખૂબ જ મહત્વપૂર્ણ ભૂમિકા ભજવે છે.
⭐ 1. Excel માં Cell Reference શું છે?
Excel માં જ્યારે આપણે કોઈ Cellનું Address Formulas માં ઉપયોગ કરીએ તેને Cell Reference કહેવામાં આવે છે.
જેમ કે:

A1→ Column A અને Row 1 -
B5→ Column B અને Row 5
References Excel ને બતાવે છે કે Calculation માટે કયા Cell અથવા Range નો ઉપયોગ કરવો છે.
🟩 2. Excel માં Cell References ના પ્રકારો
Excel માં મુખ્યત્વે 3 પ્રકારના Cell References હોય છે:
1) Relative Reference (સંબંધિત સંદર્ભ)
Relative Reference એ Excel નું Default Reference Type છે.
જો તમે એક Cell માંથી Formula ને Copy-Paste કરો તો Cell Address AUTOMATICALLY બદલાઈ જાય છે.
✔ Example:
Cell C1 માં Formula:
જો આ Formula ને નીચે C2 માં Paste કરીએ તો તે પોતે બદલાઈ જશે:
⭐ ઉપયોગ:

જ્યારે Similar Calculations દરેક Row અથવા Column માટે કરવી હોય.
2) Absolute Reference (સ્થિર સંદર્ભ)
Absolute Reference માં Row અને Column સ્થિર રહે છે.
આ Reference $ (Dollar Sign) વડે લખવામાં આવે છે.
Syntax:
Example:
આ Reference Copy-Paste કરવાથી બદલાતો નથી.
✔ ઉદાહરણ:
જો Tax Rate એક જ Cell (એ.કે. A1) માં હોય અને દરેક Row પર તે જ Value લાગુ કરવી હોય.
3) Mixed Reference (મિશ્ર સંદર્ભ)
Mixed Reference માં Either Row અથવા Column માંથી એક Fix રહે છે.
પ્રકાર:

$A1→ Column A fixed, Row change -
A$1→ Row 1 fixed, Column change

🟨 3. Cell Naming (Named Ranges) શું છે?
Excel માં આપણે કોઈ Cell અથવા Cell Range ને Name આપી શકીએ છીએ.
આને Named Range કહેવામાં આવે છે.
✔ Named Range બનાવવાના ફાયદા:

Formula વધુ Readable બને છે

Data Manage કરવું સરળ બને છે

લાંબા Cell Address યાદ રાખવાની જરૂર નથી
✔ Named Range કેવી રીતે બનાવવું?

Cell Select કરો

Ribbon → Formulas Tab

Define Name અથવા Name Box માં સીધું Name Type કરો
Example:
જો A1માં Discount Rate હોય તો તમે તેને “Discount” નામ આપી શકો છો.
Formula:
🟦 4. Named Range ના નિયમો

નામની શરૂઆત alphabet થી થવી જોઈએ

Space ના બદલે underscore
_અથવા capital letters ઉપયોગ કરો -
Excel ના Keywords જેવા SUM, AVG વગેરે નામ તરીકે ઉપયોગ ન કરી શકાય

Name case-insensitive હોય છે
